Rough Couple of Days

Well... I thank God for the world of blogging. It has proven to be a social interaction that is healthy and encouraging to my life and ministry. I am slowly coming to develop the discipline to write something on a daily basis and check other's "posts" quite a few times every day. However, the last two days have presented some difficulties that have made it hard to post. I am remaining prayerful and allowing the Lord to speak in His own way. So, I just thought I would drop this quick line and say "Hello" to all of my blog-family and let you know that, though I am not posting in a functional and intentional way, I am still here and God is still on the throne.

Don't worry about a thing my blogging brother. We all have our dry spells. Glad to know everything is okay. When you're ready to give, we will gladly receive.

I was glad to see you here since I know you are having some turbulance stirring around. How well do I know how that can be. Pushing yourself to get things done and meeting the priorities of the day. "This to shall pass". Take a deep breath and remember that scripture I always leave with you. Do what needs to be done, as God gives you strength and insight to do so. I will be in prayer for you as you stand for the Lord twice tomorrow. Hope your knee feels better in the morning. You may have to get a second opinion. We will talk later. Love to you and yours.

Thanks for the blog Brother Pastor. It is good to know that I am not the only student in the "rough day" class and that I am not alone in working this sometimes difficult "lesson plan."
But you have definitely got it right when you say you are still here and that God is still on the throne.
Somewhere in my literature reading some years ago I came across an inspiring writing from and unknown author which says:
"There is no victory without loss, no win without suffering."
So, yes, the "rough days" do come but we know that they are simply the paths we travel on our way to victory.
God bless you son and on tomorrow remember to "preach a little."
Your father twice.

Kevin, I thank God for your honesty and the transparency of your heart. I believe that you have used the true purpose of our blogging in the best way. Blogging is designed for us to use as a mechanism to share our hearts and convictions, even if it is not some deep hypothesis, as long as it is from our hearts, then our job is done. Be Blessed my friend.

I Heard you did a Magnificent job preaching at your service at "The Ship" then again at the Westhaven Baptist Church today. Wish I could have been there. I prayed for you as usual. The Lord was faithful to sustain you inspite of the pain and allowed you to stand strong.

I was sorry you had to leave the second service going to the emergency room. But, I am glad you got that knee looked after. I pray it is well on its way to complete restoration. If you need me for anything just call. Remember, as you have assessed, and the words of your Doctor "you are not 18 anymore" You can't still do everything those boys do. So, sit down and rest that knee.

Be Blessed

Cousin,

There's no way I can blog each and everyday. Someone once told me if you talk to much(blogging included) you might start lying because the truth isn't that interesting. Anywho, that was just to make you smile. No but seriously. Your blogs are always so rich, real and relevant. God's word is true, it's inspiring, insightful and interesting. Keep pressin as He gives you strength to reach out to His people(even through blogging). Don't worry about the days you don't(blog) just make the days you do(blog) count.

Love ya,
Connye
