Biblical Interpretation
It has been a couple of days since I last "blogged" and feel like I am going to have to get back into the "swing of things." Today begins a new semester at Howard Payne University. I will be taking two classes there this semester. "The Life and Letters of Paul" and "Biblical Interpretation." I am rather excited about both classes. I am especially excited about the "Biblical Interpretation" because the textbook for the class is one that I had in my library and had actually read and studied before. I am interested to see if I was effective in what I gleaned from the book personally, as relates to what we will explore corporately in the class. I figured I would share the books title, "Grasping God's Word," for those who are looking for a tool that can walk you through the process step by step. In order to get full use of this particular book, I suggest that you get the workbook that is written as a companion to the text. I worked wonders for me and I learned a lot. Hoping now to squeeze even more from it in class today.

I can't wait to hear what you have squeezed out of it. I am extremely interested in your school work as I am preparing to complete my studies as well.

I also look forward to the conclusion of what you have already gleaned from the book, and what will be added as additional information. It will be interesting to see how your personal study of the book is in contrast to your class comprehension of the same material.
Be sure to let me know what happens. You know how I like good Soaps and "to be continued" dramas. I must say that I have learned a lot about the word when we have our conversations about many of the things you have learned (you reteach to me) or what is on your mind about a particular subject. Thanks for sharing. Hope your studies go well. Be safe. Be Blessed.

I look forward to sharing in your growth and understanding. Please know that I'm praying for you.
My brother, I will have to check out this great read. I don't think I have this one in my library. Thanks for the recommendation and sharing from your list of textbooks. In fact, I just came up with a GREAT idea - putting a list of our textbooks on the blog. I will have to do that when I get my list. I am late on signing up for classes. Should have it squared away by Thursday evening - PRAYERFULLY!
Wow! Both of these classes sound mighty exciting. I plan to add these titles to my library and look forward to being blessed by them.
Hey Kevin thanks for the shout.I know you come from a line of well versed and vividly expressive parents and it is evident in your writtings. Keep it up and I am interested in this book. Who is the publisher?
Be Encouraged.
